Business registry

Vet a company before you start doing business with it.

EasyCRM connects your contacts to the Slovak public registries via FirmAPI. Just enter a registration number (IČO) and the company details, registered address and VAT status are filled in. At the same time you instantly see whether the company is a tax debtor, has active distraint proceedings, is in bankruptcy or is an unreliable VAT payer.

Autofill by registration number

Enter the registration number – the rest fills itself in

When you create a company contact or a lead, just start typing the company name or its registration number. EasyCRM shows a company autocomplete from the Slovak registry and, once you pick one, automatically fills in the company name, legal form, registration number (IČO), tax number (DIČ), VAT number (IČ DPH), VAT-payer status and the registered seat. No retyping from the tax-authority website or the commercial register – one click and the contact is filled in correctly. You can re-fetch the data any time with the Refresh button if something at the company has changed.

  • Company autocomplete by name or registration number
  • Automatic fill of name, legal form, tax and VAT numbers
  • Registered address filled in (street, city, postcode, country)
  • VAT-payer status straight from the registry
  • Works when creating both contacts and leads

Risk warnings

See at a glance whether the company is a problem

For every verified company EasyCRM shows a risk badge – green, amber or red. A red warning means a serious risk: the company is listed as a tax debtor, has active bankruptcy or restructuring proceedings, active distraint authorisations, is on the illegal-employment list or appears on international sanctions lists. An amber warning flags an unreliable VAT payer (per the tax-reliability index), a cancelled VAT registration, a public-procurement debarment or a terminated company. Open the badge to see the exact list of findings and the registries they come from.

  • Tax debtors – Slovak Financial Administration registry
  • Distraint and bankruptcy – authorisation and insolvency registries
  • Illegal employment and sanctions lists (EU/OFAC)
  • Tax-reliability index and cancelled VAT registration
  • Public-procurement debarment and terminated companies

Caching and availability

Fast, cached locally and everywhere company fields appear

Verified data is stored locally, so reopening a contact is instant and does not hammer the API. Registry data is considered fresh for 7 days, the risk snapshot is refreshed every 24 hours, and a daily background job refreshes stale records. The risk indicator appears not only in the contact detail but also in the contacts list and through the REST API. The whole integration is optional – it only works when it is switched on and a valid API key is configured. If the connection is unavailable, the registration-number, tax-number and VAT-number fields remain usable for manual entry and the CRM works without any limitation.

  • Local caching – instant repeat views
  • Registry data fresh for 7 days, risk refreshed every 24 h
  • A daily job automatically refreshes stale records
  • Risk indicator in the contacts list and via the REST API
  • Safe to disconnect – the CRM stays fully functional without a key

Bring your own key (BYOK)

Every company uses its own FirmAPI account

The integration works on a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) basis. Each organisation has its own FirmAPI subscription and its own API key, entered securely in the EasyCRM settings. The key is encrypted and never shared between organisations – so every company has its own call quota and its own billing directly from FirmAPI.

You enter the key in EasyCRM under Settings → Business registry (FirmAPI). Without a key the CRM stays fully functional, just without company verification.

What you get

Less manual work, less risk

  • Correct company details without retyping from public registries
  • Spot risky companies before you issue an invoice
  • Tax debtors and companies in distraint visible at a glance
  • VAT-payer verification right when you create the contact
  • Local caching – speed without unnecessary API calls
  • Optional and safe – the CRM stays fully functional without a key

Frequently asked

Business registry questions

The data comes from Slovak state and public registries, and EasyCRM retrieves it through the FirmAPI service (firmapi.sk). It includes company identification details, VAT status and risk registries such as the tax-debtor registry, the insolvency registry and distraint authorisations.

Yes. Each organisation uses its own FirmAPI (firmapi.sk) API key, entered in the EasyCRM settings under integrations. That way every company has its own subscription and its own call quota – keys are never shared between organisations.

Red (serious) risk: tax debtor, active bankruptcy or restructuring, active distraint, illegal employment and sanctions lists. Amber (warning): unreliable VAT payer, cancelled VAT registration, public-procurement debarment and terminated company. A green badge means no risks were found.

Registry data is considered fresh for 7 days and the risk snapshot is refreshed every 24 hours. A daily background job refreshes stale records, and you can refresh the data manually at any time with the Refresh button right in the contact.

If the registry connection is not switched on or no valid API key is configured, the search and risk badges simply do not appear. The registration-number, tax-number and VAT-number fields remain available for manual entry and the whole CRM works without limitation.

Yes. Besides the CRM interface, company search and company lookup by registration number are also available through the public REST API v1 (search and company-detail endpoints), so you can wire verification into your own processes.

The integration covers Slovak companies and Slovak state registries. Companies are searched and verified by their Slovak registration number (IČO).
